Bait and Switch - I went there for dinner on a Thursday night with some friends and they ran out of their special (1/4 burger for $1). Their fix was to sell us their regular burger (1/2 pound) for the regular price of $7. If you make a mistake ordering you should compensate the customers that took the time to come to your restaurant. $1 or $2 for the bigger burger because you ran out would have been reasonable instead of taking advantage of poor ordering. Bottom line is don't count on the special, plan on paying full price for something else.

Do you like wings? This is one of my favorite places to get my fill of wings! Forget the chain restaurants - Monday night is wing night at Sportsman's Landing. Just like some of the other places you get your choice of hot sauce (or not so hot). When we walk in I'll place an order for 30 wings to start with the usual choices of dipping sauce, ranch dressing and those green crunchy vegetables... if the kids aren't real hungry we will just take the leftovers home - otherwise I'll get another 10 wings to go... they are good reheated too... Sportsman's is an interesting place and we've had other food there, which is also very good, but we always think of this place for wings - not sure why... The outside might be a bit deceiving (sorry Mark), but on the inside it clean and a great place to get together with friends. Service is always fast and very friendly. Make sure that you tip generously - they work hard! If you are on Wind Lake dock your boat and stop in for a drink and some great food - you won't be disappointed...

Sportsman's Landing is one of those hidden hole in the wall places where your belly and wallet are happy. The place has unassuming chairs, a typical bar and pool table area. First, I was amazed and happy with the drink prices. They had a really good honey whiskey to try. The food tastes homemade, as if you are in someone's home kitchen. I had the prime rib sandwich, which was gigantic. I'm very picky about prime rib. Usually, it tastes like a giant slab of flavorless meat, as if you are foraging in a forest with civilization miles away. This prime rib is tender like butter, and has a great spice mixture that is neither spicy nor overly salty, just flavorful. I hear their chili is outstanding. Can't wait to go back. I imagine it will get really busy in the summer with the boat landing.

Be careful if you order take out! Their menu says "Great Food To Go" but they may charge you extra. They do not advertise a To Go fee of $.50 per item and may alter menu prices for carry out. I enjoyed a fish fry here and had a good experience, so I decided to order take out from their menu online. I placed my order and was told it would be ready in ten minutes. When I arrived I was told my order cost much more than I expected. When I inquired, I was told they not only do not honor the daily special for take out but they charge a higher price than on the regular menu for food, PLUS a TO GO fee . The bartender informed me they changed their prices and have not had a chance to change the menus. I was polite and willing to pay, I just wanted to know what I was paying for. 30 minutes after I placed my order, my food was ready and the bartender was nice enough to charge the advertised price, but then when I got home I realized they shorted me the amount of food I was supposed to get! When I got home, I looked at the To Go menu she gave me and it says in fine print on the bottom, "prices and menu items subject to change without notice" I guess they reserve the right to charge you whatever they feel like...

I have been here many times and always have had good food and service. The chicken wings are among the best in metro area and the pizza is very good.

Love the lake view from the dock. Mark took our group on a tour of Wind Lake on his boat. Very relaxing! I picked up two large pizzas and wings during the Parker game last Sunday....love the food! Special thank you to Mark and family for being involved in community. Another great family owned business in Wind Lake!

Place is a fight house. Was there a while back and saw a couple of thugs whip the crap out of one guy over some young girl. Come to find out i live a couple doors away from the fight victim. He said it was over his wife. Total riot house. People there all locals, you walk in, music stops....you know the rest. Its a dive.

Found Sportsman Landing online for there prime rib and decided to give it a try. Food is delicious, especially the seafood nachos on the weekends! Will definitely be coming back!

Sportsman's Landing is a great little find on the banks of Wind Lake. Nothing fancy, but they shine through with great, friendly service and quality grub. I had hot wings and shared potato skins with another member of the group. The wings were good, spicy but not overwhelming, and crispy too. The potato skins were also a nice treat, topped with a generous helping of bacon. Can't go wrong there, who doesn't love bacon? Overall, Sportsman's Landing is just a good little spot for quality pub food and friendly, quick, service from a great staff.
